Science fiction is filled with clones. Still, what happens to clones after they succeed in the endeavours they were created for? Do they have feelings? Do they have memories? What would happen if a copy of the deceased astronaut Kohei would have to face himself, his original copy lying lifeless in front of him?
The Clone Returns Home is Kanji Nakajima’s first feature and it is metaphysical, exploring identità, memory and science’s ethical liabilities.
